How it works

IWAY, hence the name, is based around the skill "I Will Avenge You!". The real technique behind this is that pets are considered allies, so one dead pet will trigger "I Will Avenge You!". Therefor, the warriors should best bring Dire pets, this because they do more damage than elder or hearty, and have less health, ensuring both more pressure DPS, and faster death so they can be used to trigger "I Will Avenge You!" (of course, low level pets would be even better for fast corpses). Do not forget to bring a longbow to give your pet the order to engage the enemy. This is perfect to kill your pet fast (for example, by sending it into a trapped area). With a 45 second recharge, "I Will Avenge You!" can be up pretty much all the time when activated after all 4 pets died (5 dead allies would be ideal). Do NOT trigger "I Will Avenge You!" when nothing has died yet, if you're getting hit badly, you'll be the first corpse, too bad, but your whole team has Resurrection Signet, so once enough stuff died and "I Will Avenge You!" is triggered, you will get ressed pretty fast. IWAY works radar range, so once pets are dead, usually, they are just left dead.

IWAY is a pressure build, instead of trying to spike targets, your sole goal is to outdamage the healing. Things like Order of Pain and the traps make sure extra DPS is delivered, while stuff like Nature's Renewal, Predatory Season, annoys the opposing team's monks. eventually, skills like Edge of Extinction and Putrid Explosion quicken a team's death once a couple of players go down.

Order of Apostasy should be requested by the warriors when they face enchantment heavy teams. However, stuff such as Aegis is preferably prevented by Distracting Blow. Also try to interupt other things, like Ward Against Melee or if you have interupts to spare, even Guardian.

Dwayne's sorrow is used to prevent your whole team dies when an Edge of Extinction bomb goes down. Heal Party can help here aswell, but can also be used when facing heavy degen.

Make sure to resurrect fallen teammembers quickly to ensure your pressure DPS stays high enough. Also, when running out of Resurrection Signet, kill the enemy ghostly hero for a moral boost, recharging your Resurrection Signet.

do not panic at any point : IWAY is only beaten when all 8 players are dead. Often the few remaining players manage to kill the ghostly hero, and quickly res the rest of the team, to eventually win the battle.

While IWAY is often looked down upon by most "leet" players, it is a very effective build that requires little to no coordination, while still having a decent chance to win a battle. The perfect PUG build ...

Counters

Dedicated spirit killing (usually by a warrior)
Blocking/evading melee attacks (with stuff like Ward Against Melee, Aegis, Displacement, Guardian, ...)
Fast corpse control : use those things before they are used against you
look out for traps (and specially, don't ball up in them)
