GDF Attacking; Strogg Defending

The GDF are using an outlying geothermal facility to create an atmospheric EMP weapon with which to drive the Strogg out of Earth’s orbit and halt the invasion. The Strogg must destroy the geothermal energy core to prevent the GDF from disabling their fleet.

Primary Missions

• 1. Hack the Security Controls, which will open up routes to the Transformer.
• 2. Destroy the Transformer to trigger a chain reaction that will blow open the main facility.
• 3. Fly Flyer Drones through the Access Vents in the lower chamber to attack the Energy Core. Five Flyer Drone explosions will destroy the Energy Core, resulting in a Strogg Victory.

Secondary Missions

• a. Capture the Beach Head Spawn Point
• b. Breach the Forward Bunker, Sea Wall, or East Bunker
• c. Capture the Bunker Building Spawn Point

Tips

• Walking through this map on your own in a local server would be very beneficial to explore all of the various routes in and out of various objectives (including the use of teleporters) as well as finding out how to destroy the Energy Core.
• The final objective can only be accomplished by Infiltrators flying their drones down to the bottom floor, through a set of vents, and up to the generator where they can be blown up. Each successful strike takes 20% of the generator’s health.
• There are a fair number of 30 second objectives (multiple dyno objects, hacking the shield, etc) that need to be accomplished. Hitting multiple objectives simultaneously will be the key to managing round times.
• Strogg Infiltrators can use their teleporters (_weapon05) to get past any of the three destructible barriers on the beach.
• Strogg Infiltrators can also use the vents to access the Security Controls.
